Participants are those restaurants or caterers that make the initiative to purchase local food from regional food producers or through the Farm to Restaurant Delivers system. Why is the SANTA FE SCHOOL OF COOKING a Farm to Restaurant participant?
Mother and daughter team, Susan Curtis and Nicole Ammerman, have developed relationships with local producers in order to teach true Santa Fe cooking.
Goat milk products from South Mountain Dairy • posole, blue corn meal and atole from Rancho de Casados • pecans from Del Valle Pecans in Mesilla, NM • chicos from a farmer in Dixon • herbs from Rio Grande Herb Company • chicken from Pollo Real • lamb from Shepherd's Lamb and go to Farmers Market as much as possible for fresh produce in season

"Local food helps our local economy. It's fresher product with less impact on our environment and helps create a sense of place if using product from the region."How do you market local food to your customers?

Many of our staff members have gardens and we purchase produce from our staff members!
